The Discipline Committee (“Committee”) of the Paramedic Association of New Brunswick by a decision dated November 7, 2018 found that a Member demonstrated professional misconduct, conduct unbecoming a Member, conduct adversely affecting the standing and good name of the profession and the Association, by allowing a live drug to be administered to a student under her care, for demonstrating a disregard for the welfare of a student who received a live drug, and for failing to report a significant event to her employer.
The Committee ordered that the Member:
- is reprimanded for her conduct;
- shall complete a course relating to ethics/professional conduct;
- pay a fine of $1000; and
- pay a portion of the costs of the Association of $1000.
