The Discipline Committee (“Committee”) of the Paramedic Association of New Brunswick, by a decision dated August 18, 2022, found that a Member’s conduct constituted professional misconduct and, specifically, that the Member:
(a) disclosed confidential information learned about an individual through the Member’s duties as a paramedic, which is not permitted by law and which violates the Code of Ethics;
(b) breached confidentiality maliciously although the Member indicated not having malicious intent; and
(c) demonstrated poor judgment.
The Committee ordered that the member:
be reprimanded for two (2) years;
submit evidence of successful completion of an anger management course or other stress management course, to be paid by the Member;
