Death of Paramedic Trevor Francis

It is with great sadness that we must announce the untimely death of Trevor Francis of Tobique First Nation which occurred by accident near Aroostook on May 29, 2010.
Born in Perth-Andover on February 18, 1966, he was the son of Leo Francis and the late Dora Francis (Madore). Besides his father, who lives at Tobique First Nation, Trevor leaves behind his wife Ruth Francis (Hanson); his children Kiersten Katherine Francis, Brandon Joseph Francis, Izak Leo Francis all from Tobique First Nation; sisters Tracy Hamilton (Harry), Tanya Francis (George Michaud), Trisha Francis (Shawn Perley), Trena Francis (Donald Hafke) all from Tobique First Nation, Teresa Francis (Shaun Hanscom) of Presque Isle, ME; his brother Trent Francis (Melissa) of Tobique First Nation; his grandmother Teresa Madore of Anderson Road; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and one great niece. Trevor was predeceased by his mother; his brother Tyler Francis; and his nephew Ryan Francis.
Trevor was so heavily involved with so many different groups and organizations. He was an EMT, a former Fire Chief and former police officer for Tobique First Nation. He was involed in hockey, baseball, darts, both as a player and a coach. He took part in the Relay for Life, Pond Hockey, the Gathering of the Scots. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, council #8405 and the local Elks Club. He was a fan of Jeff Gordon, L.A. Lakers, and must have been the biggest Habs fan ever. Trevor would DJ many events, such as benefit dances and weddings, with Trev-e-okie.
Resting at his father's home, 201 Main St. Tobique First Nation, starting on Monday at 11 am until 1 pm Wednesday. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at 2 pm from St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church. Father Curtis Sappier will celebrate, assisted by Father Gilbert Doddatto. Interment will be in St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial donations to any local school music programs would be appreciated by the family. Donations may be made through the funeral home or by leaving it at Leo's in a marked envelope along with your information. Arrangements are entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover.
