General Registration Information
The Paramedic Association of New Brunswick exists to protect the patients that we serve and to promote quality care through cooperative working relationships among organizations and stakeholders with EMS Interests. As such, all Prehospital emergency medical care professionals must register with the Association in order to practice in the Province of New Brunswick.
Currently, there exists two levels of Registration in New Brunswick, Primary Care Paramedics (PCP), and Advanced Care Paramedics (ACP). The Scope of Practice (SOP) for both registration levels meet or exceed the educational profiles maintained in the most current version of the National Occupational Competency Profile, developed by the Paramedic Association of Canada and utilized by the Canadian Medical Association.
There are four types of Registration Requests considered by the Association.
Depending on the type of Registrant, the information required in order for the application to be considered varies greatly.
However, regardless of what type of registration an applicant is seeking, most applicants are required to complete the Paramedic Integration Process.
